Radio for Integrated Sustainability after Emergencies (RISE)

In January 2016, Antenna Foundation Nepal launched ‘Radio for Integrated Sustainability after Emergencies (RISE)’ project in seven of the earthquake-affected districts, namely Gorkha, Rasuwa, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Okhaldhunga,Kavre and Ramechhap, with the aim of supporting select 10 local radio stations from those districts.
As part of the project, AFN has conducted 11 training events to build capacity of the local radio stations in four major areas: program production, institutional development, fundraising and audience interaction.

Also the project helps the local radio stations to understand the changing media consumption patterns and habits of mass audiences, perform SWOT analysis and devise effective strategies for institutional growth and development.
The RISE project is funded by Open Society Foundation (OSF).
