Broadcast Partner

Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) partners with Nepal's independent FM radio stations to broadcast the radio programs of AFN. It has covered almost all of the country through its partner radio network. Currently, there are five major radio programs that AFN has been producing and broadcasting via its FM radio partners' frequencies.

Bikash Ko Bato, a weekly radio magazine on local development, governance and access to rural road for rural settlement produced by AFN is broadcast from 17 FM stations of nine districts of mid- and far-western Nepal.

Mai Sari Sunakhari, a radio soap opera produced by ANF in collaboration with Population Media Center (PMC), is broadcast through 80 plus radio stations covering almost all of Nepal. Radio Nepal, Ujyaalo Radio Network, Community Information Network (CIN) of Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (ACORAB) Nepal and Kantipur FM are major broadcast partners of Mai Sari Sunakhari.

Sunakhari Bahas, a live call-in-show is also a weekly production of AFN and is broadcast by 80 plus radio stations throughout the country.

Hilkor, a radio soap opera in Maithili language produced by AFN in collaboration with PMC is broadcast via a number of radio stations in the central Tarai region of Nepal where Maithili speaking communities live.

Nepal Chautari is a live call-in-show on contemporary issues. Nepal Chautari is being produced by AFN on its own and is broadcast through 30 plus FM stations across the country, every week. Nepal Chautari invites thematic, sectoral experts on contemporary political and social issues to its studio and allows interaction between guests and listeners via a toll free telephone number. The program has been the longest radio live talk show on contemporary issues in Nepal.
