Bikas Ko Bato

Bikash KoBato (‘Road to Development’) is a UK Aid- funded radio program produced by Antenna Foundation Nepal in partnership with RAP 3 with the aim of enhancing the public's advocacy skills and creating a conducive environment for interaction between the public and development stakeholders and for open discussion on issues, including irregularities potentially taking place, at the local level.
The radio program includes a 30-minute radio magazine, comprising field reports, interviews and discussion and covering a range of social issues related to local infrastructure, health and safety, education, employment, financial irregularities and entrepreneurship, in RAP 3 districts. The project started in July 2015.
In the first phase, between July 2015 and July 2016, AFN produced 52 radio program episodes covering eight RAP 3 districts, namely Humla, Jumla, Mugu,Kalikot, Achham, Dailekh, Doti andBajura. The program episodes were broadcast through 17 different radio stations of those districts and one radio station from Banke district.
In the second phase that spanned till July 2017, an equal 52 radio episodes were produced and broadcast in the same eight districts and one additional district, Dadeldhura from 17 radio stations. During the third phase, between July 2017 and August 2018, AFN has been producing another 52 radio program episodes which will be broadcast through the same local partner radio stations of those districts.
